Fucking Normies 2024-01-07

Louis Rossmann is a guy who runs an electronics repair shop, and who also happens to make videos that he posts on YouTube. His videos are frequently about right to repair, consumer privacy, and the concept of ownership. In the video I was watching today, he spent the second half of it doing an anti-ad for LG. It seems he had spent about US$3600 on a television and subsequently found out that the television intentionally collects a bunch of information about the viewer and sends that information [over the Internet] to LG so that LG can then sell that information to advertisers. Though it is not in the terms of service or privacy policy, it can safely be assumed that once advertisers have that information they will use it to shove more ads in your face wherever they can. So, in Louis' anti-ad, he made reference to his previous video in which he descibed how his fancy expensive television treated him like a commodity to be sold.

This attitude just plain sucks.

I think what is going on in the comment at the bottom of the screenshot, is that the commenter is a normie. Someone who doesn't necessarily feel like there is any need to understand how computers work. Someone who just wants to "click the button" and see photos of grandma at Christmas. Someone who feels like although they really have no idea how the ones and zeros work, they are entitled to have "easy to use" services that do whatever they want. Well normie, fuck you. Over the last 25+ years the nerds have continually invited the normies to participate in this wonderful electronic paradise, but the normies just wanted to use it and never had any intentions to learn about it. Well 30 years ago, participating in the wonderful electronic paradise required a desire to learn about it, and it was glorious [most of the time]. Now it is just a wasteland of bad blowjobs being pimped out by sleazy wankers in fishnet stockings and a tube top. I'd like to suggest that the nerds either kick the normies off of their playground, or relinquish this playground and move on to one where the normies are not welcome and are TOLD they are not welcome.
