You'd Fight For The Bones Too 2018-09-03
One of the things I like about westerns is the lack of ads. Don't get me wrong, there were some pretty abrasive ads back then, but they were obvious and clear. Not this native advertising "get in your head" kind of shit we have now. When you see a Samsung phone or an Apple laptop in a 1940's western you can be pretty sure it wasn't a paid gig.
Hombre is a kickass western in which Paul Newman plays a white fellah who was raised by Indians and who clearly doesn't have much love for white folks. He winds up on a stage with some white people, who apparently don't want him around. When the stage is robbed they suddenly find themselves dependent on him.
