Fucking Ammo Prices 2016-02-05
About two and a half years ago I had done some quick math on Remington rimfire ammo prices. As it turns out, Subsonics were the most expensive tested at 5.39¢ a shot while Thunderbolts were a mere 3.57¢ per shot. I like the Thunderbolts... and didn't find the price difference of Subsonics to be justified by the difference in noise level. But what about the Goldens? Since I stopped buying Subsonics and the price of Thunderbolts seems to be constantly rising faster than inflation, perhaps Goldens would be a good alternative.
Turns out Goldens (as seen in our fancy picture above) are rising just as fast as Thunderbolts. I was looking at the Cabela's web site tonight and noticed that the same bucket is now $119.99, bringing the new price to 8.57¢ per shot. I wish I could double the price on my labour every 2.5 years. Bastards.
